About the role
- Design, develop and implement PLC programs to control industrial machinery and processes.
- Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of PLC systems.
- Develop and maintain HMI and SCADA systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLC systems and related hardware and software.
- Create and maintain documentation for PLC programs and systems.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure integration of PLC systems with other control systems.
- Stay up to date with PLC technology and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Provide training and support to specialists and technicians on PLC systems and programming.
- Train plant personnel on control system usage and document development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with CAD software for robotic design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python or Java (preferred).
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems and controls (preferred).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.
