About the role
- Customer & market discovery — Translate qualitative and quantitative feedback into clear problem statements and user personas.
- Competitive & strategic research — Track industry trends and benchmark NI’s offerings against competitors. Summarize findings for stakeholder audiences.
- Cross-functional collaboration — Partner with Product Engineering to clarify product requirements, review design tradeoffs, and keep work aligned with product intent.
- Launch preparation & post-release analysis — Support the creation of release notes, internal briefings, and launch success metrics. Analyze post-launch usage data to surface opportunities for iteration.
- Creation of compelling demos — explore new user workflows possible through the use of data and AI.
Requirements
- To be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Interest in how software products are built and why users adopt them
- The ability to move between technical conversations with engineers, strategic discussions with business stakeholders, and communicating complex ideas clearly in writing and in person
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, user research, or software development - including coursework, internships, or personal projects
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
