About the role
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Digital Engineers, fostering an engaged, high‑trust environment that supports growth, strong execution, and continuous improvement.
- Drive performance, compensation, and recognition processes while empowering the team through ongoing coaching and career development that builds capability and future leadership.
- Allocate resources to meet project roadmap, scope, and budgets, ensuring alignment between team capacity and business priorities.
- Oversee and support the engineering team as they design, develop, and validate digital hardware for RF Test and Measurement products, ensuring high quality execution and technical excellence.
- Provide technical and leadership support for customer escalations, resolving complex hardware issues and maintaining customer confidence.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design practices, engineering processes, and ways of working
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in hardware design.
- Demonstrated success managing engineering teams, including talent development and performance management.
- Strong communication and influencing skills; able to motivate, coach, and inspire teams while building effective partnerships across the organization.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, proactive problem solving, and driving execution in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Located within a commutable distance to NI’s offices in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
