About the role
- Maintain and extend code base of the current digital excitation control module
- Provide technical support to field service and projects engineering staff
- Provide technical support to marketing and sales, generally in the form of proposal reviews and fielding requests for new functionality
- Interface with excitation technical consultant as needed to investigate startup issues during power plant commissioning
- Provide technical guidance to the validation team
- Support technical writers writing user manuals
- Work with and support the Excitation Software Toolkit scripts
- Maintain and extend the Excitation Software Toolkit SMV database
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM degree
- Minimum 5 years' experience with Embedded “C” programming language
- Knowledge of closed-loop feedback controls and high-speed processing of AC and DC signals
- Up to 5% of travel
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position
