About the role

  • Maintain and extend code base of the current digital excitation control module
  • Provide technical support to field service and projects engineering staff
  • Provide technical support to marketing and sales, generally in the form of proposal reviews and fielding requests for new functionality
  • Interface with excitation technical consultant as needed to investigate startup issues during power plant commissioning
  • Provide technical guidance to the validation team
  • Support technical writers writing user manuals
  • Work with and support the Excitation Software Toolkit scripts
  • Maintain and extend the Excitation Software Toolkit SMV database

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Embedded “C” programming language
  • Knowledge of closed-loop feedback controls and high-speed processing of AC and DC signals
  • Up to 5% of travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position
