About the role
- Reconcile inventory balances with general ledger accounts on a monthly basis while maintaining and validating inventory cost data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate and set standard costs for raw materials and finished goods, and analyze inventory variances resulting from standard price changes.
- Prepare regular cost analyses comparing actual results to budget, propose corrective actions, and drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
- Monitor inbound freight costs and purchase price variances (PPV), ensuring fluctuations remain within acceptable thresholds.
- Prepare and review production-related accounting entries for both group and statutory reporting.
- Support the Finance Manager with monthly financial reviews and variance analysis, while preparing reports and data insights to support decision-making.
- Prepare financial data requested by Business Units and Headquarters for consolidation purposes.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Marketing, Procurement, and Materials teams as a key finance business partner.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, accounting standards, quality system requirements, and company policies, and support internal and external audit activities.
- Promote a safe, ethical, and professional working environment and comply with occupational safety requirements.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, or financial reporting.
- Knowledge of inventory control and production forecasting or planning methods.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and accounting applications.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in English and solid PC skills (MS Office, Internet, Email).
