About the role

  • Drive growth of Emerson’s Renewable Technologies for business in the North American PV Solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) market
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the PV & BESS markets and Emerson's solutions; provide knowledge and training to the North America Sales force
  • Identify target applications, competitors, and customers; identify potential third-party business partners to fill gaps in solution portfolio
  • Develop solution messaging for renewable energy solutions and coordinate with sales to promote Emerson's renewable energy solutions
  • Collaborate with PWS Marketing and Communications to develop product literature, presentations, and other media to support renewable energy promotions
  • Collaborate on New Product Development processes for solar and energy storage market products; capture voice of the customer feedback to drive product enhancements
  • Identify, prepare for, and attend trade events that promote Emerson renewable energy solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven strong understanding of how PV and BESS facilities operate, how they use equipment and technologies, as well as control systems and how they are applied in the North American power market
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the utility scale PV and BESS industries for a technology provider, end user or developer
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in utility scale power generation marketing, sales, projects, operations or product development
  • PV Solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) SCADA and Control experience
  • Business Development experience
  • Ability to travel 25-35% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience promoting and presenting products and solutions directly to end users
  • Preferred: Ability to anticipate customers’ needs from first-hand experience in renewable operations and control
  • Preferred: Willingness to find creative solutions for customers and align partners for delivery
