Develop and execute strategies for Emerson’s global compliance program, including international trade, antitrust/competition, anti-corruption, third-party due diligence, data privacy, product cybersecurity, AI governance, record retention, and conflict minerals.
Advise senior executives—including the CEO, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer—on compliance matters, risks, and associated costs.
Lead and manage the Regulatory Compliance team to deliver practical, high-quality legal counsel aligned with business objectives.
Stay current on global regulatory trends, laws, and best practices to ensure Emerson remains proactive and compliant.
Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives to strengthen compliance programs.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Oversee inquiries, investigations, audits, and interactions with regulatory bodies.
Manage the Regulatory Compliance budget and relationships with external counsel and experts.
Contribute to the vision and strategy of the Global Legal and Security Department as part of the leadership team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Extensive legal experience (typically 15+ years) with substantive international regulatory compliance expertise
Strong knowledge of U.S. and global compliance laws and regulations
Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and navigate complex business environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available)
Willingness to travel, including internationally
