About the role
- Apply sourcing skills to source potential substitute parts to avoid supply disruption.
- Negotiate with suppliers and source parts at the best cost.
- Ensure the accuracy of part pricing, inventory level, BOM information, and revision number of the engineering drawings.
- Apply analytical skills in generating reports and presentations.
- Manage supply chain systems and databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Communications, Industrial Engineering.
- At least 2.5 years of relevant experience in procurement function in the manufacturing industry or supply chain role in the shared services industry.
- Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities
- Knowledgeable in environmental legislation and similar (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).
- Fair degree of understanding in the field of supply chain.
- Basic understanding of MRP, ERP, and SRM systems and tools, and multi-level BOMs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in using Oracle or other similar applications for data entry.
