About the role
- Develop Territory Strategy – Understand market needs and create plans to drive order growth and profitability.
- Engage Customers – Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers across engineering and executive levels.
- Position Solutions – Identify customer challenges and propose Emerson’s automation and DCS solutions effectively.
- Drive Customer Interaction – Conduct regular in-person visits, technical presentations, and workshops to promote Emerson’s value proposition.
- Lead Negotiations – Manage commercial discussions on pricing, discounts, and terms within Delegation of Authority.
- Collaborate Internally – Work with sales support teams to develop winning proposals and strategies.
- Manage Pipeline – Maintain accurate opportunity tracking in CRM and provide reliable forecasts.
- Ensure Compliance – Operate with integrity, following company ethics and Trade Compliance procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS); familiarity with Ovation is a strong plus.
- Experience in sales roles within industrial process automation, with a solid understanding of automation systems and the ability to communicate technical concepts confidently.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Northern & Central Italy; ideally based in Northern Italy for easier customer coverage and training.
- Valid driver’s license.
