About the role

  • Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for migrating enterprise workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Architect end-to-end cloud solutions, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and integration components within OCI.
  • Lead the assessment of existing systems and develop comprehensive roadmaps and migration strategies.
  • Ensure cloud architecture incorporates security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to guide the migration of complex business applications, including Oracle technologies such as PeopleSoft, Exadata, Autonomous Database, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
  • Serve as a mentor and technical authority for engineering teams, providing architectural guidance and oversight throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural and process documentation, and communicate complex technical information effectively to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years of IT experience, including strong recent experience architecting Oracle solutions and leading cloud migration projects
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions at enterprise scale
  • Deep knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and governance in cloud environments
  • Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
  • Outstanding analytical, presentation, and communication skills
  • Oracle Cloud certification(s) strongly preferred (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional)
