About the role

  • Preparation of, or initial experience with, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Basic knowledge of fixed-asset accounting, liquidity planning and plausibility checks for affiliated entities
  • Communication with our facilities, the group accounting department, external auditors and tax advisors
  • Management of petty cash for our inpatient care facilities
  • Processing of payroll files and reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Support in other areas of our financial accounting (e.g. bank postings)
  • General account reconciliations
  • Authorization of payments
  • Optional support for process optimization projects

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training (e.g. office clerk or tax clerk), ideally with further training to become a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance-sheet accountant) (m/f/d)
  • Several years of accounting experience, e.g. as a financial accountant or Bilanzbuchhalter (m/f/d)
  • Knowledge of financial statements under the German Commercial Code (HGB) desirable
  • Knowledge of DATEV Kanzlei Rechnungswesen advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Team-player mentality with enthusiasm and enjoyment for the work
