About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage multiple commercial and/or industrial process projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.
- Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships through proactive communication and effective problem-solving.
- Translate project scope, schedules, and technical requirements into clear direction for field leadership and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage project financials, including scopes of work, schedules of values, labor budgets, productivity KPIs, and cost tracking.
- Coordinate procurement and equipment planning to align materials, labor, and schedules.
- Participate in monthly financial forecasting and project reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early.
- Support and mentor project engineers and project staff, fostering accountability and team development.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical, schedule, or cost challenges as they arise.
- Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Uphold Air Systems’ safety and quality standards on every project and jobsite.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Construction Project Engineer required.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC sheet metal, hydronic piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment required.
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project/accounting software a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Strong client relations skills.
- Ability to work in remote field offices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with large infrastructure projects is a plus.
