About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage multiple commercial and/or industrial process projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships through proactive communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Translate project scope, schedules, and technical requirements into clear direction for field leadership and subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage project financials, including scopes of work, schedules of values, labor budgets, productivity KPIs, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate procurement and equipment planning to align materials, labor, and schedules.
  • Participate in monthly financial forecasting and project reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early.
  • Support and mentor project engineers and project staff, fostering accountability and team development.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical, schedule, or cost challenges as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Uphold Air Systems’ safety and quality standards on every project and jobsite.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Construction Project Engineer required.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC sheet metal, hydronic piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment required.
  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project/accounting software a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong client relations skills.
  • Ability to work in remote field offices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects is a plus.
