About the role
- Visit operating companies to assess performance and operations, including major projects to build relationships
- Ensure CEO is apprised of any high-risk scenarios across assigned operating companies
- Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders at assigned operating companies
- Review weekly bid opportunities
- Observe operating company WIP meetings and provide feedback to company leadership
- Work with newly acquired entities to ensure timely development and deployment of corporate processes and procedures
- Participate in acquisition activities to support operation processes
- Review all financial statements, especially cash
- Mentor on topics like leadership and project management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related areas of study
- Minimum of 20 years progressive experience in managing and leading both small- and large-scale construction projects
- Direct P&L responsibilities for operating companies in portfolio
- Responsibilities for multiple operations over a large domestic geographic area
- Successful oversight of a larger electrical operating company, especially those specializing in high-voltage work
- Oversight of or experience working with publicly traded companies
- Proven track record of effectively growing operations while maintaining a commitment to Ethics and Safety.
