Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction and ensures corrective measures meet reliability standards
Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality Engineering functions for assigned product lines
Customer Corrective Action Requests investigation, response and closure including trending of defect data and implementation of corrective action
Support regulatory and quality management system compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures related to product complaint handling, adverse event reporting and product field actions
Develop and implement quality metrics to drive manufacturing improvements and business results
Plan and supervise studies aimed at improving product quality and reliability
Contact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues
Assist other departments as necessary in improving processes, and solving quality issues
Responsible for the administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards such as applicable AS/ISO standards
Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production quality
Conduct training to quality processes as needed
Drive Lean effort within manufacturing focusing on Quality
Prepares, compiles, and maintains all controlled documentation required for regulatory and policy compliance; manages foreign country required documentation process and review
Leads the delivery Documentation process for the customer resolution/completion of delivery issues/obligations
Confers with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes
Requirements
BS or Equivalent on-the-job-experience
Consultant Level Individual Contributor; generally 8-10 years of experience
Previous DMIR experience a must
14 CFR Part 21 knowledge dealing with documents in an engineering or manufacturing environment to present to the FAA
Embraer MES User
Embraer MRBQA knowledge
Embraer Aircraft Documentation Delivery Knowledge
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
SAP experience a plus
Ability to understand work and procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements
Extensive knowledge of aircraft preferred (A&P preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and strong phone etiquette
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
