About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of global inventory control strategies aligned with aviation industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee and continuously improve cycle counting processes across multiple sites ensuring consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Manage inventory audits, adjustments, and reconciliation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Logistics, and Quality teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation.
  • Monitor and report inventory KPIs, including accuracy, shrinkage, and turnover, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure SAP inventory transactions are executed correctly and efficiently, including kit preparation, bin location management, and cost corrections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to inventory control.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to address inventory discrepancies, non-conformities, and process improvements.
  • Champion Lean principles in inventory operations to drive standardization and waste reduction.
  • Train and mentor inventory control personnel fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support audit readiness, cost accuracy, and operational excellence in a high-complexity logistics setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in inventory control will also be considered, regardless of formal educational background; professional experience will be verified.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in inventory control, preferably within the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • Strong background in SAP and inventory management systems.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in aviation (e.g., FAA, EASA) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory control principles, auditing practices, and cost analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), SAP, and document management systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Must adhere to safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA, EPA, and aviation-specific guidelines.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support global inventory initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-complexity environment with shifting priorities.
