About the role
- Lead electrical system design decisions to ensure accurate, efficient, and code-compliant outcomes.
- Break down complex systems into understandable components for clients and staff.
- Perform facility assessments, site verifications, and project quality assurance reviews.
- Drive innovation and excel in areas of technical expertise.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, clients, and design partners.
- Assist owners in making informed lighting and system decisions.
- Manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.
- Deliver responsive construction administration services, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and project support.
- Model professionalism, communication, and accountability within project teams.
- Foster an approachable, collaborative environment that encourages growth and learning.
- Oversee development of complete, coordinated drawing sets in Revit.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable codes.
- Utilize industry and company software (Outlook, Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Word, AGI 32, and LiquidPlanner) to manage projects accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized project files and records throughout design and construction phases.
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and self-awareness in all aspects of work.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and industry partners.
- Contribute positively to Emanuelson-Podas through leadership, collaboration, and innovation.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 8+ years of relevant electrical design and project management experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
