About the role
- Understand ELLKAY’s platforms, customer workflows, and delivery model
- Identify high-value automation and orchestration opportunities where configuration or AI can replace manual or developer-driven effort
- Own the product roadmap for orchestration, automation, and workflow capabilities that translate customer and delivery team needs into intuitive, configuration-driven experiences
- Partner with Engineering on architectural decisions involving containers, Kubernetes, message buses, and workflow engines to ensure orchestration features integrate cleanly with ELLKAY’s interface engine and API ecosystem
- Define success metrics around time-to-integration, deployment velocity, error reduction, and customer adoption
- Act as a bridge between modern automation paradigms and healthcare interoperability realities to influence ELLKAY’s long-term automation and AI roadmap to expand orchestration capabilities to support increasingly complex, cross-system workflows as a core platform differentiator
- Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, MuleSoft, or similar
- Exposure to healthcare data and exchange concepts (HL7, FHIR, CCDs)
- Experience designing low-code or no-code configurations
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native delivery models
- A strong point of view on how automation and AI can reduce integration friction
- Demonstrated ability to bring modern orchestration concepts into regulated or complex domains
- Experience enabling non-developers to build reliable, production-grade workflows
- Curiosity, pragmatism, and comfort operating at the intersection of product, engineering, and customers
- Work with a team of Product Owners to drive automation into the roadmaps
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with platform, infrastructure, or developer-adjacent products
- Experience building or managing workflow orchestration, automation, or iPaaS-style products
- Strong technical fluency with APIs, event-driven architectures, containers and Kubernetes-based environments, message buses and integration patterns
- Experience applying AI or agentic AI concepts to automation, decisioning, or workflow optimization
- Ability to design a business case
- Ability to write detailed requirements and collaborate deeply with Engineering teams
- Comfort working with healthcare data and translating non-healthcare best practices into healthcare environments
