About the role

Write maintainable code that solves real business problems, not just completes tickets
Question requirements and suggest simpler alternatives when you spot unnecessary complexity
Work within small teams (product managers, designers, engineers) to build features that users actually need
Collaborate with product and design to understand the "why" behind features before diving into implementation
Take ownership of small features from development through deployment and monitoring

Strong programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, basic system design)
Understanding of backend development basics (HTTP, databases, APIs) - we primarily use Go but can teach syntax if you understand the concepts
Frontend development experience with any modern framework (Angular, ReactJS, VueJS)
Experience with version control (Git) and working in a team environment
Basic understanding of how web applications scale and perform under load
Ability to ask good questions and push back respectfully when something doesn't make sense
English proficiency for team communication
Minimum 2 years of relevant project work or internship experience
Good to haves: focus on understanding concepts deeply rather than memorizing framework APIs
Good to haves: comfortable saying "I don't know, but I'll figure it out."
Good to haves: ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Good to haves: experience measuring if features were actually being used
Good to haves: naturally ask "why are we building this?" before "how should I build it?"
