About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule, in conjunction with the Superintendent
- Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings for Owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings
- Meet with Owners and Architects professionally and communicate the concerns and best interests of the company effectively
- Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports to align with estimates and maintain positive cash flow
- Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression
- Submit project reports to the Area Manager and communicate project progress and risks requiring escalation to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–7 years of Heavy Civil experience working on roads, bridges, earthworks, or similar projects
- Construction-related degree/diploma and 5–8 years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Working knowledge of construction scopes and activities
- Knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software
- Ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relations
- Experience with structural piling, concrete work, and tunneling is an asset
