About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Area Accountant or Finance Manager for month-end close activities for Canadian and Ireland operations
Generate reports out of financial/accounting system
Analyze periodic financial data for financial due diligence
Assist in preparing quarterly and yearly financial statements
Perform variance analysis for profit & loss statements
Maintain management reports for projects and overhead against budget
Monitor aged receivables and ensure funds are collected
Participate in model audits for bidding on new projects
Ensure compliance with internal/external audit requirements
Provide support for audit requests and tax related audits
Ensure billing aligns with service agreements
Assist in financial system transitions as needed
Review monthly Performance Monitoring Reports and prepare operational report sections
Handle ad-hoc projects for the Area Accountant

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of financial analysis or relevant experience
Strong financial accounting analysis experience
Communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in forecasting and financial modelling using Excel
Strong analytical skills in building integrated financial models
Proficient in all generic office software including advanced Word skills
Ideally have experience with Facilities Management
Must be able to work in office in Cork, Ireland, Edmonton, AB or Mississauga, ON
