About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and update the Indigenous Benefit Plan
- Keep the site team up to date on community cultural events
- Conduct cultural awareness training during orientation
- Populate and keep current the FFCP website
- Act as the cultural liaison for Indigenous workers on-site
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, organizations, and businesses
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate socio-economic considerations
- Develop and implement training programs and resources
- Identify and engage with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
- Manage Pehta to measure the impact of socio-economic initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Provide regular reports and updates on socio-economic performance
- Act as a liaison between the project and local communities
- Develop initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values
- Familiarity with relevant policies, regulations, and standards related to socio-economic development and local hiring
- Experience in identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance
