About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and update the Indigenous Benefit Plan
  • Keep the site team up to date on community cultural events
  • Conduct cultural awareness training during orientation
  • Populate and keep current the FFCP website
  • Act as the cultural liaison for Indigenous workers on-site
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, organizations, and businesses
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate socio-economic considerations
  • Develop and implement training programs and resources
  • Identify and engage with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
  • Manage Pehta to measure the impact of socio-economic initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Provide regular reports and updates on socio-economic performance
  • Act as a liaison between the project and local communities
  • Develop initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values
  • Familiarity with relevant policies, regulations, and standards related to socio-economic development and local hiring
  • Experience in identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and suppliers
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance
