About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accountability for ensuring that mechanical and electrical equipment meet operational requirements
- Responsible for programs that ensure the resilience of building systems
- Leadership of Continuous Quality Improvement objectives to streamline operations
- Oversight of a supervisory team managing in-house and subcontracted support teams
- Ensure effective maintenance and asset replacement schedules
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of engineering management experience in a maintenance environment
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, and relevant healthcare facility standards
- Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and ICAT systems
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with a large unionized team of skilled and non-skilled trades.
- Understanding of contract management and union negotiation/grievance resolution skills.
