Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment meet operational/statutory requirements
Responsible for resilience programs of building systems
Lead Continuous Quality Improvement objectives
Oversight of supervisory team managing day-to-day operations
Ensure effective maintenance and asset replacement schedules
Manage financial and departmental delivery of facilities services

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years of engineering management experience in a maintenance environment
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, and healthcare facility standards
Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and ICAT systems
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Critical thinking with analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with a large unionized team
Understanding of contract management and union negotiations
