About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and serve as an immediate clinical resource to staff on a designated unit and shift
  • Demonstrate well developed clinical competencies appropriate to specialty area
  • Collaborate with medical staff for relevant clinical and other issues
  • Provide oversight and ensure smooth shift-based operations
  • Coach and mentor other staff, promoting teamwork
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to control costs
  • Address/stabilize management and operational issues requiring immediate attention
  • Support the department’s Shared Governance structure and accountability for quality improvement outcomes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN required or must be actively enrolled in a program
  • Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in an acute care setting required
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Hampshire required
  • Life support authorization (BLS, ACLS, etc.) appropriate to patient population required
  • Specialty certification required within six (6) months of eligibility.
