Develop and foster relationships with key decision-makers at biotech and pharmaceutical companies
Manage an assigned territory by building a strong sales pipeline and advancing sales opportunities
Grow relationships with unidentified accounts
Utilize established relationships with pharma/biotech and generate new leads through industry analysis, research, and phone contact
Vet-qualified sales leads from inside sales, trade shows, referrals, etc.
Lead new business development efforts and manage corporate meetings and exhibitions
Represent Elligo Health Research at local, national, and international meetings
Develops and secures business by matching clinical trial opportunities with Elligo sites
Assist in mentoring Directors and Associate Directors within the Business Development team
Maintain customer relationships by anticipating challenges, recommending opportunities and improvements, and maintaining customer profiles and contact management system
Maximize market penetration by understanding Elligo services, competitors, and market trends and developing account strategies
Read, understand, and adhere to organizational SOPs; assist in establishing/enforcing departmental standards and participate in modification of company SOPs related to Business Development
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
8+ years of pharmaceutical/research site sales experience required
3+ years of clinical research experience preferred
Operations experience in clinical trials preferred
Thorough knowledge of research and pharmaceutical industry, terminology, and practices
Proven ability in presenting and negotiating
Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet demanding deadlines
The ability to cold call is required
Must be available during core work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and work 37.5 hours each week
Minimal travel required
