About the role
- Oversee recruitment and hiring of therapists
- Provide onboarding and training to ensure all clinical and operational policies and procedures are followed
- Assess ongoing development needs and provide training as needed
- Hold staff compassionately accountable for performance expectations
- Manage staff performance, including coaching, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary processes as needed
- Oversee peer consultation groups to ensure clinical excellence and best practices
- Provide clinical oversight to Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing documentation for pre-licensed providers
- Participate in Clinic Director peer consultation
- Provide 1:1 consultation with therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and documentation
- Evaluate mental health diagnoses and implement treatment plans
- Complete ongoing documentation in accordance with company policy
- Utilize creative and evidence-based interventions
- Coordinate services with families, schools, medical providers, and other professionals as needed
- Collaborate with franchise owner and corporate partners to support fiscal and clinical efficiency
- Monitor clinic schedules and operational needs
- Respond to concerns from clients, clinicians, and community partners
- Serve as point of contact for building-related matters
- Lead community outreach and referral development
- Collaborate with marketing to promote clinic visibility
- Implement required policies and procedures in collaboration with franchise owner and corporate partners
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve client care, quality, and efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Lead Therapist, or Program Manager
- Master’s degree or higher in a mental health discipline
- Independently licensed in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)
- Currently credentialed individually with major commercial insurance carriers in Virginia (such as Anthem/BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Optum/UnitedHealthcare, or similar)
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of state regulations governing mental health practice
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and electronic health record systems
- Working knowledge of HR principles and performance management
