• Support the development and implementation of HR strategies
• Build strategies, systems, and processes that drive growth which centers on the mission, vision, and values of the Ella Baker Center
• Support and coordinate the execution of key people and culture functions such as recruitment, retention, performance management, professional development, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement
• Serve as an internal expert in California employment law and labor relations, ensuring full compliance across the organization
• Manage human resource programs including HRIS, compensation, benefits, and leaves
• Provide proactive leadership and professional expertise in all areas of human resources management
• Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal programs
• Support organizational leaders in training and staffing strategy
• Create systems to collect and review staff feedback for improvement
• Serve as the primary internal advisor to leadership on complex HR, compliance, and employee relations matters

Communications

• Lead and strengthen digital ecosystem across EBCHR and EBCAF
• Manage day-to-day operations of email programs on Action Network
• Collaborate with Communications Director and Manager to implement email programs
• Supervise Social Media Organizer for alignment of messaging and strategy
• Coordinate with Program and Development teams for campaign deliverables
• Develop email list acquisition and health strategies
• Maintain and enhance websites, manage digital communications strategies
• Serve as internal owner of database suite like Salesforce, ActBlue, ActionNetwork
• Oversee data management for Development and Program departments
• Support growth and work of Social Media Organizer
