About the role

  • Handle major food service, retail customers and distributors throughout the southeast
  • Develop direct relationships with accounts and call on new target accounts to promote organization’s products/services
  • Increase product/service representation among customers and end users in the territory

Requirements

  • Responsible for delivering territory sales goals and growth objectives
  • Frequent travel (50%) including overnight as needed
  • Customer relationships management with strong and regular connectivity
  • Lead new business development with strong prospecting and profitable negotiations for growth opportunities across new and existing customers
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of products and solutions, and lead customer presentations to recommend the best solutions while leveraging the value for the customer
  • Back-office customer management such as pricing, contracts, forecasting, receivables, maintaining healthy order pipeline, etc.
  • Analyze sales reports/tools to effectively identify and report trends and accurate sales projections to management
  • Intuition and capacity to learn quickly, with a desire and ability to excel in a competitive team environment.
  • Strong business acumen to identify business risks and opportunities with ability to recommend solutions to deliver desired outcome
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, make decisions and solve problems effectively
  • Understanding of pricing and profitability, with proven skills in strategizing and negotiating
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, sales reporting and CRM systems, leveraging data to identify risk/opportunity and support decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and professional presentation skills
  • Resourceful and skilled at developing cross-functional relationships with a collaborative workstyle and action-based approach
