About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Providing exceptional instructional-related services for families and students participating in a virtual schooling program.
  • Guide instructional plans according to individual student needs using a variety of curricula and virtual tools.
  • Initiate, plan, and carry out regular and required parent/student meetings via technology platforms.
  • Complete daily and monthly reports.
  • Answer and respond to student portfolio submissions, report cards, emails, texts, and phone calls on a daily basis.
  • Maintain tracking/spreadsheet of student and family data.
  • Communicate and meet with the Special Ed team as caseload requires.
  • Attend and participate in all required company and program virtual meetings.
  • Plan and teach weekly virtual classes.
  • Travel to and manage field trips in a variety of locations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Current State of Oregon Teaching License
  • Endorsements as required by the Oregon Department of Education
  • Educational Specialists must have obtained the TSPC Elementary-Multiple Subjects or its equivalent license endorsement
  • One year of successful teaching experience within the subject area OR successful completion of an Oregon instructional internship program
  • Three years experience, preferred
  • Must have a dedicated workspace free from distractions with consistent and reliable high-speed internet access for teleconferencing
  • Operational knowledge of the Internet and Web-related technologies
  • Able to adequately meet legal requirements for performing this position
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Obtain CPR and First Aid certification
