About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research complex U.S. state and local tax issues as assigned, analyze application to company, provide tax legal advice to department, and document accordingly.
- Monitor relevant tax legislation and evaluate impact to company
- Collaborating with stakeholders on state and local tax matters
- Support state and local tax controversy defense, including researching and drafting responses to tax authority requests.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. state and local tax laws
- Strong tax planning and research skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent organizational and self-management skills
- CPA, MST or LLM degree is a plus
- Strong tax accounting knowledge, including FIN 48 and deferred taxes
- Knowledge of U.S. transfer pricing laws
- Strong leadership skills
