About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Focus on technical specifications for system solutions related to Data;
Support business teams in specifying requirements;
Work with IT architecture on functional and adaptive definitions of technological guidelines for the Elgin environment;
Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in an AWS environment;
Ingest, transform, and load data from various sources (internal and external);
Write and optimize queries using ANSI SQL;
Support data modeling (data marts, analytical layers, and dataset structuring);
Monitor data routines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability;
Identify and resolve failures in pipelines and data processes;
Collaborate with BI and business teams to understand data requirements;
Assist in documenting processes, pipelines, and the data dictionary;
Follow data governance, versioning, and information security best practices;
Contribute to continuous improvements in data architecture and existing processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in computer science, engineering, or data-related field;
Desirable courses: APIs, Agile methodologies, Quality Assurance, Databases, ANSI SQL, Azure (data), AWS (data), Middleware;
Mandatory knowledge of ANSI SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, basic optimization);
Familiarity with data modeling (dimensional and/or relational);
Basic knowledge of ETL/ELT processes;
Experience or familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS);
Basic programming knowledge for data using Python; understanding of data quality and governance concepts;
Mandatory knowledge of AWS services such as: S3, AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift;
Knowledge of orchestration tools; understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse concepts;
Power BI;
Office 365 suite;
Productivity and connectivity tools: OneDrive, GIT, Azure DevOps platform (desirable);
Basic object-oriented programming concepts;
Knowledge of APIs;
Understanding of microservices;
ETL tools, Python, solid RPA concepts, SQL, Data visualization tools.
