About the role
- Assist in all aspects of Insurance billing
- Review of patient accounts
- Patient phone calls
- Special projects across the company of 40+ Locations
- Communication with multiple departments and root cause analysis of patient issues
- Perform collection actions, including third-party appeals and resubmitting claims to third party payers
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
- Reconcile carrier submissions, scrubbing of claims, edits, and rejection reports
- Professionalism in dealing with insurance companies/patients regarding accounts in verbal and written communication
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Three years of relevant revenue cycle experience
- Extensive organizational skills
- Optometry and/or Ophthalmology office experience
- Experience with Microsoft platforms
- Patient experience focused
