Staff Accountant
Elevate and DelegateStaff Accountant managing bookkeeping records for small business clients in a remote CPA firm. Collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- - Maintain bookkeeping records for small business clients
- - Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
- - Record journal entries and assist with monthly financial statements
- - Prepare sales tax returns and related filings
- - Assist with year-end close and required business filings
- - Communicate with clients and internal team members regarding assigned work
- - Support tax preparation and other accounting-related projects as needed
- - Work closely with assigned CPAs to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- - 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with a US firm
- - QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online experience preferred
- - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- - Dependable and able to manage deadlines effectively
- - Comfortable using accounting software, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and general office technology
- - Strong English Language skills
- - Professional communication skills with a client-service mindset
- - Knowledge of sales tax and payroll tax processes is a plus
- - Ability to learn quickly and grow into independently managing client accounts

- - Payments: All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
