About the role

  • Works with business owners to identify and analyze requirements and processes with Information Technology and the vendor
  • Configures new designs/updates in the system
  • Monitors system and business functionality and performance
  • Coordinates problem resolution with development and/or product vendors
  • Analyzes, develops and validates data
  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs
  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit
  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing
  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues
  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team
  • Identifies, creates, and executes the appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, and metrics) to assure the developed application conforms to requirements and design
  • Coordinates/executes testing across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Regression
  • Defines appropriate testing methods to assure developed application conforms to requirements and design
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study
  • minimum of 2 years systems analyst or business analyst experience
  • Strong MS Office skills, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Access
  • Healthcare Insurance Knowledge
  • Knowledge of WellPoint enterprise rating tools
  • Programming skills- (SQL, JavaScript, Oracle, AWS)
  • Agile experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to translate basic business needs into application software requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and manage test execution activities
  • Possess strong analytical skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and internal and/or external customers.
