Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs
Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources
Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing
Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues
May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience
Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools
Ability to manipulate large sets of data
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Managed care (health insurance) and provider data experience
Experience in project management, building out processes, and documenting process flows
Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, toad, EDI files, and CMS interop files
Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange files e.g. 834, 835 and 837.
