About the role
- Managing psychiatric and substance abuse treatment through telephonic or written review
- Assessing member needs to ensure access to medically necessary behavioral healthcare
- Referring cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate
- Coordinating assessments, implementing case planning, monitoring and evaluating for quality member outcomes
Requirements
- Requires MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment
- Current active unrestricted license (RN, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LBA, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist)
- For states without licensure, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is acceptable if all criteria are met
- Previous experience in case management/utilization management preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills
