About the role
- Managing psychiatric and substance abuse treatment health benefits through telephonic or written review
- Assessing member needs to ensure access to necessary quality behavioral healthcare
- Referring cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate
- Performing psychiatric and substance abuse assessments, coordination, implementation, case planning, monitoring, and evaluation
Requirements
- MA/MS in social work, counseling, or related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment
- Current active unrestricted Colorado license, such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist
- Experience in case management/utilization management with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases preferred
- Experience with substance abuse treatment and knowledge of ASAM levels of care is strongly preferred
