About the role
- Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, Elemica's BDR will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities.
- You will act as the first point of contact for prospective clients, representing our company's innovative supply chain SaaS solutions, and create a strong foundation for long-term client relationships.
- Continue to develop Elemica's BDR program alongside the VP of Marketing
- Inbound account engagement management and lead qualification
- Coordinated outbound target account engagement with marketing and account executives
- Lead generation, prospecting, and multi-touch nurture to create SQLs
- Leverage multiple channels including LinkedIn, email, phone, in-person events and other buyer channels
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' business challenges and goals
- Schedule meetings or demos with Sales Executives to advance the sales process
- Leverage CRM tools, databases, and industry research to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads
- Closely collaborate with the sales, marketing, and pre-sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging and lead handoffs
- Provide insights from customer interactions to inform positioning and GTM strategies
- Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions and activities in Salesforce and Pardot
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (preferably in SaaS/tech or supply chain)
- Experience participating in the development of a new BDR program required
- Proven use and desire to leverage AI tools for data gathering, analysis, message development, testing, and personalization (ChatGPT, Claude, ZoomInfo, Copilot, Regie.ai, Outreach)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet targets
- Proven use of tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator and sales enablement tools
- A self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to learn and take initiative
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the SaaS space
- Experience in long, enterprise software sales cycles with buying committees
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to travel up to 15% of your time, including international travel
