Agent & Broker Product Owner
ElementAgent and Broker Product Owner responsible for driving product vision and priorities for government digital solutions. Collaborating with business units and technical teams to ensure effective delivery in an agile environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary Product Owner for Agent and Broker (AB) digital products and tools.
- Act as the primary liaison between the development team and the AB business team, ensuring clear communication of priorities, requirements, and delivery expectations.
- Provide client engagement support participating in stakeholder meetings, demos, and planning sessions.
- Manage and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements.
- Be fully dedicated to AB solution refinement, continuously shaping, refining, and clarifying requirements for development readiness.
- Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-groomed, clearly defined, and actionable.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI, QA, and DevSecOps teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of capabilities.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in conjunction with the scrum master.
- Ensure product decisions align with federal compliance standards, including security (e.g., NIST), privacy, and accessibility (Section 508).
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and informed prioritization.
- Support release planning, deployment readiness, and stakeholder communication for product increments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in product management or product ownership roles.
- At least 5+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience working on agent and broker platforms, portals, or marketplace ecosystems.
- Proven experience supporting government or federal IT contracting environments.
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and Agile delivery processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capability.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
- Comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience writing detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and enterprise digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum required; SAFe preferred).
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
- Must reside in the Continental US.
- Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.
