About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, execute, and oversee project activities using both traditional project management and agile methodologies to deliver project objectives within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach project teams and stakeholders in agile principles, frameworks, and best practices to enhance team productivity and delivery outcomes.
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact team performance or project progress.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources, tasks, and deliverables to ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support backlog prioritization and ensure alignment between business requirements and development activities.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and adjust project strategies as necessary to address changing requirements or priorities.
  • Foster a collaborative and iterative work environment that encourages transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support program leadership in maintaining compliance with contractual requirements, project governance standards, and reporting expectations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience supporting project management, agile facilitation, or scrum leadership activities to include business process improvement or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing multi-workstream projects using agile frameworks with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated Agile experience ensuring delivery expectations are met.
  • Experience using agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in at least one agile framework (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
  • Strong presentation, visualization, and reporting skills for executive and technical audiences.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US; and be within driving distance to Washington, DC.
  • Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.
