About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparation and characterization of various polymer materials
- Operation & handling of characterization equipment
- Perform advanced polymer testing, analysis, and failure investigations
- Develop, execute and validate test methods and protocols
- Conduct thermal, electrical, mechanical, and chemical analysis
- Prepare and test samples as per standard (ISO, IATF, ASTM, customer methods etc.)
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Follow strict safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping
- Manage lab inventory (raw materials, consumables, test vehicles)
- Generate reliable, precise data and maintain accurate documentation
- Record, review, interpret, and communicate test results clearly
- Collaborate with internal and global teams to develop methods and ensure data quality
- Support customer queries and explain technical results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Plastics Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3+ years of industry experience with hands-on expertise in thermal, electrical, mechanical, and chemical, analytical characterization techniques for polymer materials (TMA, DSC, DMA, FTIR, chromatography, UTM, dielectric testing, etc.)
- Product development knowledge or formulation know-how in PU, epoxy, silicone, acrylic, and UV-curable systems is an added advantage
