About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the R&D team with the day-to-day running of the laboratory
- Monitor the supply of consumables and raw materials used in the R&D laboratory, coordinate and consolidate replenishments internally and raise purchase requisitions for external suppliers
- Assist the team in the development of new products and with sample requests, through formulation, testing, documentation and labelling
- Maintain and update relevant R&D databases
- Continually maintain and champion good housekeeping standards, including waste disposal
- Prioritise and complete assigned tasks and projects in accordance with established deadlines
- Participate in team meetings, taking notes and following up on assigned action items
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous laboratory experience
- A level in Chemistry or equivalent qualification is preferred
- IT literate and competent with Microsoft office or similar programs
- Practical approach to work with the ability to set priorities and solve problems
- Willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Available to work onsite and commit to the full duration of the internship program
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and the wearing of PPE
