About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the R&D team with the day-to-day running of the laboratory
  • Monitor the supply of consumables and raw materials used in the R&D laboratory, coordinate and consolidate replenishments internally and raise purchase requisitions for external suppliers
  • Assist the team in the development of new products and with sample requests, through formulation, testing, documentation and labelling
  • Maintain and update relevant R&D databases
  • Continually maintain and champion good housekeeping standards, including waste disposal
  • Prioritise and complete assigned tasks and projects in accordance with established deadlines
  • Participate in team meetings, taking notes and following up on assigned action items

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous laboratory experience
  • A level in Chemistry or equivalent qualification is preferred
  • IT literate and competent with Microsoft office or similar programs
  • Practical approach to work with the ability to set priorities and solve problems
  • Willingness to learn new tools and systems
  • Available to work onsite and commit to the full duration of the internship program
  • Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and the wearing of PPE
