About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the R&D team with the day-to-day running of the laboratory
Monitor the supply of consumables and raw materials used in the R&D laboratory, coordinate and consolidate replenishments internally and raise purchase requisitions for external suppliers
Assist the team in the development of new products and with sample requests, through formulation, testing, documentation and labelling
Maintain and update relevant R&D databases
Continually maintain and champion good housekeeping standards, including waste disposal
Prioritise and complete assigned tasks and projects in accordance with established deadlines
Participate in team meetings, taking notes and following up on assigned action items

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous laboratory experience
A level in Chemistry or equivalent qualification is preferred
IT literate and competent with Microsoft office or similar programs
Practical approach to work with the ability to set priorities and solve problems
Willingness to learn new tools and systems
Available to work onsite and commit to the full duration of the internship program
Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and the wearing of PPE
