Scanner Engineer
Element Logic®Scanner Engineer installing, wiring, testing, and optimizing industrial scanners for automation solutions at customer sites across the U.S. Collaboration with Controls Engineers and customer teams for reliable systems.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, test, and optimize scanners at customer sites.
- Diagnose issues, calibrate equipment, and ensure smooth integration with conveyors and control systems.
- Own the on-site deployment process from setup to full performance readiness.
- Collaborate closely with Controls Engineers and customer teams.
- Advise management regarding customer satisfaction and product performance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 – 2 years relevant experience in Electrical and Controls.
- Associate's Degree in electrical disciplines and programming (two-year college or technical school) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read schematics/electrical prints.
- Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to write script programs for the scanners.
- Ability to program PLCs and troubleshoot systems.
- Ability to understand different types of barcode symbology and recommend the right scanner based on the application.
- Must possess good written & spoken English, Spanish a plus.
