About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide overall leadership and accountability for daily electric vehicle multi-site operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of autonomous vehicle operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate and client objectives.
Lead and mentor Operations Supervisors and Leads; build succession plans and develop high-performing leadership teams.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across shifts and departments to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, productivity, quality, and cost control, and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and implement improvements.
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and emergency response procedures.
Represent the organization in high-level client meetings, providing executive-level reporting on performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
Partner with client dispatch and operations leadership to optimize mission assignment and field operations.
Oversee scheduling, workforce planning, resource allocation, and consistent execution of operational processes.
Lead response efforts for service disruptions, incidents, and operational challenges while ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required.
5–7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including managing supervisors.
Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
Strong strategic thinking and operational planning capabilities.
Proven leadership and people development skills.
Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret metrics and drive results.
Degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
Experience in transportation, mobility services, rental fleet operations, logistics, or related operations.
Experience leading 24/7 operations and large, multi-location teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence executive-level stakeholders.
Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Proficiency with reporting systems and operational software.
