About the role

  • Posses in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Life Sciences Tools market and knowledge of competitive products in the Next Generation Sequencing space and adjacencies
  • Establishes and executes on strategies for obtaining new customers and maintains/grows existing customer accounts in order to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Demonstrates capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations in order to establish mutually beneficial circumstances for the customer and Element
  • Excellent communicator with best-in-class customer service skills who can quickly navigate any situation to reach desired goals
  • Work with leaders across the company and sales team to ensure the East region hits all sales and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing department to establish campaigns, design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring field teams and develop and execute training and onboarding programs
  • Coordinate sales interactions with Customer Support and Marketing organizations to ensure great end-to-end customer experiences
  • Manage sales budgets, set quarterly and annual sales goals: you will work with Finance and Commercial Operations team to ensure that team and individual goals are measured and rewarded and provide detailed sales forecasting to Finance and Operations
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs, and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or business-related field required; Graduate degree in a life science or business-related field may be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Sales leadership position in Life Science
  • Start-up or early-stage company experience ideal
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally across regions and across departments
  • Strong managerial experience with proven experience building teams and driving revenue
