Commodity Manager – Electronic Components
Electrolux Professional GroupCommodity Manager responsible for sourcing Tier 2 electronic components at Electrolux. Handling supplier relationships, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with internal teams.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Tier 2 electronic components based on market dynamics and technology trends
- Build strong relationships with component manufacturers and distributors to secure supply continuity and access to innovation
- Negotiate agreements balancing cost, quality, and long-term availability
- Monitor electronic component market trends (e.g., lead times, allocation risks, obsolescence) and proactively adapt sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering to influence component selection and design choices
- Manage lifecycle risks, including obsolescence and end-of-life strategies
- Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability metrics
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and Finance teams
- Deliver on key KPIs (cost savings, NOWC, PPM, supplier consolidation, contract coverage)
- Act as the interface with internal electronics manufacturing site to align sourcing with production needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, in addition Business Administration is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience procurement and purchasing within a global organization, mainly in Electrical/Electronic Commodities
- Experiences in adjacent disciplines such as Electronic Engineering/Design, Supply Chain, R&D are also welcomed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
- Willing to travel
- Fluent in English; Knowledge of other language (specifically French) is considered an advantage
