About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage relationships with a portfolio of Independent Retail Accounts, including key strategic customers
- Support retail partners in representing the AEG brand effectively
- Lead commercial performance for the assigned region and deliver sales growth, profitability, and business performance
- Drive sales, profit, and growth targets across the customer portfolio
- Build and maintain relationships with independent retailers
- Develop and execute territory plans to maximise business opportunities and market potential
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks and collaborate with internal teams to accelerate growth
- Engage and influence business owners and senior decision-makers
- Forecast sales performance and provide accurate monthly projections
- Drive promotional activity and evaluate results
- Apply a consultative sales approach through face-to-face meetings, calls, and digital engagement
- Maintain customer administration, CRM records, and account activity accurately and on time
- Prioritise activity to maximise productivity and commercial impact
- Share customer feedback and insights to help shape future strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in account management, territory sales, or a similar customer-facing commercial role
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and identify growth opportunities
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with sales data and forecasts
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of e-commerce and online retail environments would be advantageous
- Results-driven, resilient, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Regular travel across the South West of England and South Wales
- Attendance at quarterly meetings at the Luton office
