Senior Industrial Designer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead the creation of impactful consumer products from early concepts to market launch
- You will drive cross‑category design projects, balancing hands‑on craft with growing strategic leadership
- Your work will span creative workshops, concept development, and full-scale execution, always rooted in user‑centered, sustainable, and innovative thinking
- Working closely with R&D, Product Line, MKT, and functional teams, you will deliver manufacturable products that blend aesthetics, performance, usability, and cost
- Help Electrolux keep shaping living for the better, and we'll help you go further than you ever thought possible
- Lead end-to-end industrial design for assigned projects, aligning outcomes with global design strategy, brand vision, and higher brand value (human-centric + sustainability)
- Generate and evolve innovative concepts through sketching, ideation, rapid visualization, and facilitated creative workshops/concept sprints
- Set project agendas, facilitate team conversations, synthesize diverse inputs, and provide clear design direction—adapting perspectives based on new information
- Translate user insights, brand strategy, and technical constraints into compelling product solutions using expert-level 3D/CAD tools and high-quality surface modeling
- Build, evaluate, and iterate appearance/functional prototypes with model makers and prototyping teams to refine form, ergonomics, and usability; produce production-ready data
- Collaborate seamlessly across global, cross-functional teams and with external suppliers/manufacturers; ensure design intent through engineering/manufacturing while managing timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, and mentoring junior designers
- As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EAI – Electrolux Always Improve)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent (Masters is a plus)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, cost implications and design for production
- Solid experience in industrial/product design, with a portfolio showcasing launched products
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias and KeyShot as well as sketching, rendering, and 3D modeling skills
- Proven track record of leading design projects from concept to production
- Applicants must submit for analysis a portfolio or personal website with relevant material: demonstrating the design process, including Concept sketches, 3D CAD development, Prototypes and testing, Final production products, etc. (Submit with CV)
- Fluent in English in writing and speaking (other languages is a plus)
