About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ecommerce solutions using Java and SAP Commerce (Hybris)
Own platform reliability, performance, and scalability, including monitoring and resolving production and support issues
Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans
Deliver new features and enhancements with a focus on security, performance, and reliability
Integrate ecommerce platforms with SAP ERP, payment gateways, CRM systems, and other third‑party services
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards, best practices, and quality guidelines
Mentor and guide development teams, supporting skill development and consistent delivery standards
Collaborate with architects and peers to define implementation processes, quality gates, and development standards
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in ecommerce and backend software development using Java
Strong hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), including architecture, data models, and core modules
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architectures
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and enterprise development best practices
Proven ability to lead development teams and coordinate across IT and business stakeholders
Strong communication skills and experience operating in high‑pressure, production‑support environments.
