About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will take full responsibility for our finance and accounting function and ensure our figures are always accurate, up to date and reliable.
As the primary point of contact for all financial matters, you will provide the basis for sound decision-making in a growing SaaS company.
Accounting: Independently perform ongoing financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations).
Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
Taxes & Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and work closely with our tax advisor and auditors.
Reporting: Support monthly financial reporting and the preparation of key metrics for management and investors.
Processes: Help design and optimize our financial processes and tools as the company grows.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed advanced training as a Bilanzbuchhalter/in (IHK) or an equivalent qualification.
Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a dynamic corporate or SaaS environment.
Proven ability to prepare financial statements independently in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code).
Experience with Zoho Books and DATEV (or comparable cloud-based accounting software) and confident use of MS Office / Google Workspace.
Structured, thorough and proactive working style, with discretion when handling confidential information.
Business-fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
